Suitable for all.
This course has a short eastern lineage and contains the teachings of Reiki from the traditional Japanese perspective rather than the Western form of Reiki that is practiced worldwide. I have trained with Frans Stiene (author of the Reiki Source Book) and Tom Rigler as well as many other respected teachers.
This level one course which is also known as Shoden (Japanese for “First teaching”) is suitable for newcomers to Reiki and those who are currently trained in Western Reiki who wish to learn the traditional Japanese Reiki system.
The techniques and initiation process come directly from Japan and focus on the spiritual and personal development aspect of the system.
This branch is called Usui Reiki Ryoho and the course is based on the teachings of Frans and Bronwen Stiene of the International House of Reiki.
You will learn the history of the system of Reiki, how it works, the benefits of Reiki and how to give a treatment to yourself and friends and family. If you wish to practice professionally it is recommended that you move on to the level two course after completing level one.
On the shoden course you will be taught Japanese Reiki meditation techniques and you will have time to practice them over the two days and be confident to use the techniques to assist your own healing process.
You will learn about the 5 Elements of the system of Reiki and will receive 4 Traditional Japanese attunements/reijus (energy blessing) that help to clear the body’s energy channels and prepare you to be as pure a channel of the Reiki energy as possible – an ongoing healing and clearing process will start and this will continue on an ongoing basis.
After the course you will be encouraged to continue practicing on yourself and friends and family.
